KOMOJI Terms of Use

1. Who are we?
KOMOJI is an app published by Studio Vaxa, SASU with a share capital of €1,000, 47 rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, SIREN 130 725 781, France. Contact: komoji [at] studiovaxa [dot] com.
By using KOMOJI, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. The service
KOMOJI is a daily word game: one word to guess per day and per language, in six tries. The app also offers Sprints (words to find in limited time), rankings, friends and statistics. The service is free and funded by advertising.
3. Who can play
KOMOJI is not intended for children under 16. By playing, you confirm that you are old enough.
4. Your profile and your account
The first time you open the app, an anonymous profile is created automatically. You can secure it with an email address (a 6-digit code is sent to you, there is no password) to recover your progress on another phone. You are responsible for access to your mailbox. You can delete your profile at any time from Settings (see our privacy policy).
5. Rules to follow
You agree not to:
- cheat: use a program, a script or any automatic method to play, find the word or distort the rankings;
- try to access the word of the day or other players' data other than through the game;
- choose a username that impersonates someone, or that is offensive, discriminatory or illegal;
- disrupt the service or bypass its protections;
- harass other players, for example with repeated friend requests.
We may change or remove a username that does not respect these rules, and suspend or delete a profile in case of abuse.
6. Advertising
KOMOJI shows ads, never during a game. Some can be watched voluntarily to get an extra game. Ads are provided by third parties; their content does not bind us.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its name, its logo, its texts, its word lists and its code belong to Studio Vaxa or its licensors, and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the app to play. You may not copy, modify, resell or massively extract its content. Your username remains yours; by choosing it, you allow us to display it to other players in the game.
8. Availability and changes to the service
We do our best to keep KOMOJI running, but the service is provided as is: it may be interrupted, changed or stopped, for example for maintenance. Words of the day, languages and features may change.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Studio Vaxa is not liable for indirect damages related to the use of KOMOJI, nor for the loss of game data in case of an outage. This limit does not apply where the law forbids it, in particular for the rights you have as a consumer.
10. Personal data
We process your data as explained in our privacy policy.
11. Apple and Google
These terms are between you and Studio Vaxa, not with Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for KOMOJI or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms for the iPhone version of the app.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change them significantly, we will tell you in the app. By continuing to play after the change, you accept them.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection given by the mandatory rules of your country of residence. In case of a dispute, contact us first at komoji [at] studiovaxa [dot] com.
